Introduction: Meeting the Bank Holiday Demand
As the weather improves and the Bank Holiday weekend rolls in, the industry does what it always does — ramps up. And this year has been no exception. If anything, it’s been one of the busiest spells we’ve seen in recent months.
The combination of warmer weather, increased consumer demand, and tighter turnaround expectations has meant one thing for us at TWS — full throttle operations across the board.
The Heart of the Operation: Our People
From early starts to late finishes, our drivers have been putting in serious graft to keep everything moving. It’s easy to talk about “keeping the wheels turning,” but the reality behind that is long hours, precision planning, and a level of consistency that only comes from a team that takes pride in what they do.
Behind the scenes, the ops team has been just as relentless. Managing increased volumes, reacting to changes in real time, and ensuring every job is delivered as promised, it’s been a proper team effort. The coordination between drivers and traffic office has been spot on, and it shows in the service we’ve delivered throughout this busy period.
Fleet Evolution: A Spotlight on the Gear
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Scania in to capture some shots of the latest additions to the fleet. It was a great opportunity to showcase not just the kit, but the people behind it. The subtle evolution of our branding has made a real impact: clean, sharp, and professional without overcomplicating things. It’s a small change that’s made a big difference.
Dom and Isaac took centre stage during the shoot and did a cracking job representing the business. It’s always good to put faces to the fleet; these are the people who live and breathe the job day in, day out.

Professionalism Beyond the Depot
On the road, it’s not just about efficiency, it’s about how you carry yourself. We were particularly pleased to receive a compliment from a member of the public regarding Nick Forshaw, who was spotted driving on the M57 showing real courtesy to other road users. That kind of feedback means a lot. It reflects exactly what we stand for: professionalism, awareness, and respect on the road.
And internally, standards continue to speak for themselves. After inspecting Nick Blackwell’s allocated unit, it was clear to see the level of care and pride he takes in his vehicle. Immaculate would be an understatement; it looked as close to brand new as you’re going to get. That level of attention sets the benchmark and doesn’t go unnoticed.
Conclusion: Reputation Matters
All in all, it’s been a demanding but rewarding period. High volumes, long days, and plenty of pressure, but also a clear reminder of what makes TWS what it is: a team that delivers, no matter the conditions.
As always, reputation matters.
