At TWS Transport, we firmly believe that the future of our industry depends on investing in young people and providing clear career pathways within logistics. That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Jake Bridge back to the TWS team as he begins his new role as a Trainee Transport Manager and Planner.
Apprentice LGV Technician
At just 20 years old, Jake’s journey with TWS has already been an exciting one. After leaving school, he joined us as an Apprentice LGV Technician, where he gained valuable hands-on experience maintaining commercial vehicles and understanding the importance of keeping a modern fleet safe, compliant and reliable.
Night Operations Support
Jake later progressed into a Night Operations Support role, giving him first-hand experience of transport operations and the fast-paced environment that keeps our customers’ deliveries moving around the clock.
Trainee Transport Manager and Planner
Now, Jake has returned to TWS with a clear ambition to build a long-term career in transport management. Working alongside our experienced operations team, he will be developing his knowledge of transport planning, customer service, fleet utilisation, driver management, compliance and operational efficiency as he works towards becoming a future Transport Manager.
Building Careers, Not Just Filling Jobs
The logistics industry offers far more opportunities than many people realise. Whether your interests lie in engineering, planning, compliance, customer service or leadership, logistics provides genuine long-term career prospects.
At TWS, we’re passionate about bringing young people into the industry and giving them the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed. By investing in apprentices, trainees and future leaders, we’re helping to strengthen both our business and the wider logistics sector.
Looking Ahead
We’re excited to support Jake throughout his development and look forward to seeing him progress within the business over the coming years. Everyone at TWS wishes him every success in his new role.
